Critics

“Artists such as Marco Grasso revisit the ancient question of mimesis from a new perspective: through the meticulous and sophisticated depiction of animals, art becomes a form of contemplation capable of nurturing and deepening the respect owed to nature and its inhabitants.”

Domenico Piraina Director of the Culture Department, City of Milan
Director of Palazzo Reale, Milan

“In Marco Grasso’s work, painting is not simply an artistic expression, but a commitment to keeping alive the connection between art and the conservation of our precious wildlife.”

Tommaso Sacchi Councillor for Culture, City of Milan

“Marco Grasso is not simply showing us beautiful animals; he is offering us new and original keys to interpretation.”

Luciano Galimberti President ADI Design Museum of Milan

“Marco Grasso often portrays rare species, giving their presence on canvas a renewed sense of dignity and value.

His images begin with photography and move into contemporary painting, where visible reality opens onto a more abstract and conceptual meaning.”
